We all know that during the hot summer months, heavy foundation will just melt on your face as you sweat throughout the day. It’s nice to have a little coverage but not look over done. The newest and best way to achieve this is with a lightweight BB or CC cream. They add the right amount of pigment and coverage to the skin without being too heavy. For women of color, however, there are a lack of creams on the market and I have found it difficult to find a BB or CC cream that is within the correct color range. Especially in a drugstore setting, I have yet to find a BB or CC cream that matches my skin tone, until now.
Ambi Skincare now has an Even & Clear CC+ Cream, $8.99, that matches perfectly with my skin tone. Because I struggle with hyperpigmentation (and I live in Florida), this cream is perfect for me because it contains an SPF of 30 which effectively protects the spots from darkening while in the sun. I always wear it to the pool or the beach because it stops my face from getting sunburned. The coverage is very sheer, but it gives the skin a golden glow and sun kissed look; it never appears white in photos. I will either wear this cream alone or wear it under a light foundation if I feel I need more coverage.
Under foundation, it provides my skin with so much moisture I never need to apply a facial moisturizer. My face never gets dry or flakey and the best part is it looks very natural. Even after washing this product off at the end of the day, my skin is still moisturized and smooth. I have seen improvements in my overall skin complexion. This Ambi CC cream is now the most important part of my make up application process. Without this cream on everyday, I feel I am not doing my skin justice. This is the product I now can’t live without.
